FUNNY?

Funny how simple it is for people
To trash God
And then wonder why the
World's going to hell.

Funny how we believe
What the newspapers say,
But question what the Bible says.
Funny how everyone wants to
Go to heaven provided
They do not have to believe, think, say,
Or do anything the Bible says.

Or is it scary?

Funny how someone can say
"I believe in God"
but still follow Satan
(who, by the way, also believes in God)

Funny how you can send a thousand "jokes" through e-mail,
And they spread like wildfire, but when
You start sending messages regarding the Lord,
People think twice about sharing.

Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and
Obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but the
Public discussion of
Jesus is suppressed in the school and workplace.

FUNNY ISN'T IT?

Funny how someone can be so
Fired up for Christ on
Sunday, but be an invisible
Christian the rest of the week.

 The piece on the right was written by me in late 1999. I am still searching for the original! I rediscovered it when I was doing a search on the net for my name - Thanks "angel". I'm a bit weird like that. Using google and the phrase, Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar", gives over 2000 hits and so far the earliest post that I have found is February 29, 2000.

Searching through the internet, it had, by June of 2000, additional stories appended to it (or had it been appended to them?), and so far I am unsure if the count is 3, 4 or more. It has also been modified to support Allah and Muslims, Yahweh and Yahshua (no probs with that one), A Supreme Being and finally Morality. It has even been converted to a short play. It has been criticised by Christians, Atheists, Agnostics and others. It has had words added and parts removed.

I am unsure if I posted it to the web, newsgroups or email or if someone else did. The only copies as I write this, that have my name as author, is the one on the left and the one that I mentioned above.

Reading it now makes me believe I actually only wrote it for Christians to read, and mostly it was about the way I was feeling at the time. The last paragraph, being written in the first person and the fact I signed it "four" times, points the finger straight back at me. I would like to ask "angel" where they got it from, as they seem to have copied it from an original. Unfortunately there are no contact details on their blog.
